Our Commitment to Trust
Ethics News is a publication of the World Ethics Organization, created to encourage thoughtful discussion about ethical issues affecting individuals, organizations, communities, business, technology, government, and society.
Our goal is not to tell readers what to think. It is to present ideas, perspectives, and ethical questions that encourage informed discussion and reflection.
Editorial Review
Ethics News publishes articles from invited and approved contributors.
Articles are reviewed before publication by the Editor and/or members of the Board of the World Ethics Organization. This review is intended to ensure that published material is appropriate for Ethics News, contributes meaningfully to ethical discussion, and is consistent with the purpose and standards of the World Ethics Organization.
The opinions expressed in contributor articles remain those of the individual authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the World Ethics Organization, its Board, or Ethics News.
Editorial Principles
We seek to publish material that is:
- Thoughtful and relevant to ethical discussion
- Respectful of differing perspectives
- Clearly identified by author
- Reviewed before publication
- Intended to encourage discussion rather than promote misinformation, discrimination, or personal attacks
We recognize that ethical questions frequently have more than one reasonable perspective. Publishing an article does not mean that Ethics News endorses every position expressed within it.
Technology & Publishing Platform
Ethics News is published using Ghost, a widely used digital publishing and newsletter platform.
Our website operates through a white-label publishing environment provided by a third-party technology service. Technology providers support the operation of the publishing platform but do not determine the editorial content, contributor selection, or editorial decisions of Ethics News.
Editorial responsibility remains with Ethics News and the World Ethics Organization.
Corrections
We want the information we publish to be accurate and responsible.
If a material factual error is identified, it may be reviewed by the Editor and corrected or updated when appropriate.
